I've been a bit bad with blogging recently. Everything's been pretty hectic what with being back in Brighton and starting my masters degree.
I've barely had a chance to sit down and just relax since being back.
Having moved into a new house recently, I thought I'd do a bit of a before and after with my new room.
This house is so much nicer than my past student houses and I'm really happy to have found it.
The decorating is always one of the things I look forward to when I move into a new house. My bedroom is nice and big and I've really enjoyed moving in and making it my own.
I've also got lucky with the people I'm living with; they're both lovely and we get on really well. It's weird how quickly you adjust to things, it feels like I've lived with them for ages already.
(As you can see, I have a lot of stuff. And this was only a fraction of it...)
I chose to put my small Ikea bookcase in the bay window. These bookcases are great for extra storage space and look good too, in my opinion.
I love to have lots of family photos around me to remind me of home. Candles from The White Company provide a lovely scent, two of my favourites are Tuberose and Mustique.
I love the massive built-in wardrobe. I've never had enough storage, especially clothes storage, but now I actually have room for everything for once!
This chest was my aunties. She's in the process of moving house so has been having to get rid of lots of things and, lucky for me, she gave me permission to take anything that took my fancy.
I'm properly settled into my new house now and getting used to being back in Brighton and at uni.
I'm excited to see what this year has to bring!
